meet our bluboho beauty: sabina

Sabina what does being boho mean to you? Being boho is about enjoying every aspect of life, loving the little things, opening yourself to new experiences and things, and staying positive - always try and see the silver lining, everything happens for a reason! There are two sayings that I have heard while at the store. The first: “Life whispers, listen closely”... and the second: “Let your soul stand ajar, ready to welcome the ecstatic experience.” These sayings to me, embody a great deal of what it is to be boho. You never know when something wonderful is about to happen, you just have to be open to change and to experience it! favourite piece and why? That’s a tough question! All of my pieces represent something to me. So they are all my favourite for different reasons. I always know when a piece is special because it will remind me of something...after that I know that it belongs with me. what do you do when you’re not in the store? When not at the store, I will usually be spending time with family or my friends. I love spending the day at home with my fam, or on little day-adventures! I have a group of 10 or so girlfriends who are all my best friends. We usually congregate at someone's house and then go to our favourite hot spots, or just hangout and talk! who is your style muse? I take my style from different places. Pinterest is my go-to when I’m trying to put a specific look together. I like exploring and experimenting with different styles. Finding what looks good together and what doesn’t! favourite song to dance to? This is a tough question as well...I grew-up listening to a huge variety of music that my Dad introduced me to, bands like The Beatles, Rolling Stones and Pink Floyd. As I’ve grow older I’ve developed my own tastes, although it is quite similar to my Dad's! Mumford and Sons has to be one of my favourite bands ever! I love music that I can dance AND sing to at the same time. what are you reading on the beach right now? I’m a bit of a book worm, I love reading!!! Historical fiction is my favourite kind of book! I love reading about the different Monarchies of England, especially the Tudor line: King Henry VIII or “The Wife Killer,” his daughters Queen Mary “Bloody Mary” and her younger sister-and my hero, Queen Elizabeth of The Golden Age. I find it so fascinating to read about the world they lived in. celebrity crush? Hmm...I would have to say: Ryan Reynolds is a hunk. There are a few more among him like the Franco brothers, Hugh Jackman...and I can’t forget about Johnny Depp! what are you making for lunch these days? One of my favourite places to frequent for lunch or dinner is Stoney's Bread Company on Kerr Street. They have the best food, followed by a delicious butter tart.... that's the way to my heart! But if I’m whipping something up for myself I would have to say you can’t go wrong with a delicous salad! I usually load mine up with cheese, cranberries, nuts, chicken...really anything that’s lying around. You can’t go wrong with a salad! what is your favourite destination? Where do you eat, sleep and shop when you visit? Arizona! My grandparents live in a residential area on a ranch. I have been visiting them forever!! The Ranch and the people that own and work there have become part of my family! Every time we visit we go horseback riding and hiking. My grandparents will plan bi-yearly family gatherings. I have a HUGE family, which means when these gatherings take place, the Ranch is filled entirely with my relatives...never a dull moment! what’s on your vision board? In September I will be embarking on my first year of university at the University of Toronto to study Global Studies so my vision board is filled with different goals surrounding school. Spending time with my family, visiting friends, staying active and always enjoying everything that I am doing, are some other things that are also there!
