gift guide with didier young

Didier Young  |  @didieryhc  |

the wonderful, magical Didier Young was kind enough share with us his curated Christmas gift guide and we are so excited for you to see!

1. CHANEL La creme main
I have the driest hands of life during the winter so I always make sure to carry hand cream with me everywhere I go. I have been loving the Chanel hand cream lately. It is spillproof in your bag, smells fantastic, hydrates without leaving a greasy film and its super cute for flat lay photos!

2. Obviously we are going to include the honey bee ring
As it is still one of my favourite rings ever. I’ve always had this weird fascination with bees and honey (Winnie the pooh complex maybe?) so when I say the honey bee ring, I NEEDED to have it.

3. The Tiled Margot monogram mugs from Anthropologie
Those are hands down my favourite mugs ever. We’ve had them for over a year now and we use them every morning for coffee. They are super aesthetic, hold a lot of coffee and there’s no way I will mistakenly grab Andrew’s coffee anymore.

4. The new APPLE EarPods
I don’t have a pair of my own yet but I keep stealing Andrew’s haha. I love that they don’t have a string that tangles in everything plus I will admit that they do sound better than most of the other ear sets out there on the market. I love that the new ones are noise cancelling as well!

5. The revival snake necklace
The first piece that I connected with at Bluboho was the Revival ring. The story behind the collection is something so relatable: we have all gone through heartbreak and we have all had the desire to shed away our old skin and start anew. It is such a positive twist on something that was bad in our lives. I already have the revival ring (my first purchase ever from Bluboho!) so I think that I need the necklace to match now!

6. The Dainty 14k gold sapphire reverie band
Because it is the ring that I chose as my wedding ring for next year. Andrew and I are both Libras, with him being born in September so sapphires are a perfect representation of the two of us. My mom’s engagement ring was a gorgeous blue sapphire as well so this is also a nod to my mother and the huge impact she’s had over my life.

7. The LANEIGE sleeping lip mask
One of my favourite lip products out there on the market and the vanilla version is absolutely exquisite. They also have gift sets with exclusive holiday flavours right now!

 8. The Byredo Bibliotheque candle
I have a slight candle addiction haha. One of my favourites has always been Byredo’s Bibliotheque. Its a beautiful floral that is grounded in leather.

9. The ACNE studios Toronty Scarf
I love being cosy and I do enjoy gifts of cosy socks and warm scarves funnily enough. The Toronty scarf is huge which makes it perfect to bundle in, double-sided so you’re technically getting a 2-in-1 scarf and I find that it really elevates even the simplest outfit.

10. The Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Synchronized recovery complex II
This is my absolute holy grail serum and I have gone through so many bottles of it as it is. It is also fantastic if you want to sheer out your foundation a bit!

11. The Peaks and Valleys ring
2019 marks my 10 year anniversary in Canada and Toronto. I can here as a student, started working in the industry that I studied for before switching over to something completely over. Those ten years have been filled with laughter and sadness, heartbreaks and soulmate and lots of ups and downs. The Peaks and Valleys is such a great symbol of what this decade has been like for me.

12. I’ve wanted one of the SMEG kettles for the longest time
I think that I might bite the bullet this year. I love the retro aesthetic and they have so many fun colours!
